About

HI, I'M JARIETTA

I'm originally from Houston, TX and was raised by a family of strong women. After realizing I wanted to redefine my career path from coaching college athletes to coaching the community to WIN in everyday life, I climbed the ranks at one of the most respected luxury fitness clubs in the country. Becoming one of the top personal trainers and coaches at Equinox, I developed training specialties that include functional movement patterning, weight loss/gain, prehab/rehab, strength, and sport-specific strength and conditioning.

 

Fitness has always been a part of my life through sports. After a college basketball career plagued by low back pain and a sense of failure, I worked on finding different ways to stay active and improve my self-confidence. It was on this journey that I lost my mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. These hardships during some of the most developmental years of my adulthood caused me to look deeper into myself and figure out a plan to keep my mental and physical health intact. The one thing I kept returning back to was…Fitness!

 

It wasn’t until I fully explored why I kept returning to the familiar to help me navigate life’s unforeseen circumstances that I was able to unlock my potential. Connecting my mind and body allowed me to fully transcend what I was capable of doing in the gym as well as revitalize my heart and soul. As curiosity became entangled with mindfulness, I was able to understand how nutrition and revitalization were interconnected with my movement. As I continued to stay disciplined in my practice of mind/body connection through small habits and behavior change, I began to embody strength, courage, mindfulness, empowerment, and BEYOND! I’m here to help you do the same!
